FAQ's
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY FOR ME TO GET CONNECTED H20?
Everything from our services, events and small groups are designed for you to get connected. Every Wednesday, H2O has a service with a hang out time before and after. All throughout the week we have small groups to give every student an opportunity to connect with other students and leaders. If you show up at H20 it`s hard NOT to get connected.
WHAT HAPPENS AT AN H2O SERVICE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT?
Every Wednesday the H20 Center opens it`s doors at 6:00pm. Before the worship service starts we have everything from video game stations, pool on the 2nd floor, hang out time in the café, and much more going on. At 6:45, service begins where you get time to meet other students just like you, get together with your small group, worship God, and hear from the Word of God on a relevant issue to the culture you live in. Service ends at 8:15 and the facility doors close at 9pm.
CAN I SHOW UP LATE OR LEAVE EARLY?
The service is the most important part of your H20 experience. So we ask that you show up on time and plan on staying until the service is over.
HOW OLD IS "TOO OLD" AND HOW YOUNG IS "TOO YOUNG?"
H20 is a place created specifically for teenagers, so you need to be a teenager. If you are not yet in 6th grade, sorry you'll have to wait. But don't worry; we're not going anywhere, and we are only gonna get better. So relax, we will see you soon! If you're 19, or out of High School, the time has come for us to part ways. Unless, of course, you are a member of Kenosha First Assembly and you want to help us serve teenagers each week. If that’s the case stop by our offices or the H20 check-in desk and we'll point you in the right direction.
CAN PARENTS COME?
We have designed H20 to be a place specifically for teenagers, but we want parents to feel welcome to see what their kids are enjoying. We have created an open door policy for parents and you may see some of them wandering around from time to time. So, you had better be on your best behavior just in case the next ones you see are yours!
DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY?
The only thing that costs money at H20 is the food. All of the video games, billiards tables and everything else is free. So if your stomach is talking to you, bring a little bit of money so you can talk back. Otherwise, relax it's on the house.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A SMALL GROUP?
All the small groups meet various nights of the week in homes all throughout Kenosha. They have a time of games and hanging out and then break off into a time where an H20 leader facilitates a discussion of questions relating to the Wednesday night message. We have age specific small groups for middle school students and high school students, For more information please click on our small group section.
HOW CAN I STAY UP TO DATE-ON-EVERYTHING GOING ON AT H2O?
The best way to stay up on everything going on at H20 is to sign up for the parent newsletter that we send out. The newsletter will give you all the information you need on a consistent basis. You can also get text message updates via Twitter to your cell phone by texting “follow @H20youth" to 40404. Standard text message rates apply. You can also find the things you need for small groups, events, etc. right here on the H20 website.
